Thanks once again, at least I can file that issue away as solved. My swing arm is likely not stock as it doesn't have a rear bracket for the chainguard. It appears stock other than that omission.
Newb question here, looking at shovelheads and see FLH and FXEs. What are the differences between the two? Looking at the specs, it looks like a stock FXE is 155lbs lighter, where is the difference?
Thanks, Jeff

its two welded tabs a moron could of removed in a custom move on his part post a picture
FXE was a superglide, the E is for electric start. FLH is the touring version. In today's terminology, the FXE would be a dyna, the FLH would be an Ultra. In the shovel days the only real differences were cosmetic, frame and motor were identical. Some of the differences:
Front end, FXE is narrow glide, FLH is wide glide
Tank, FXE is peanut or 3.5 gal fatbob, FLH is five gallon fat bob
FLH typically has fiberglass bags and fairing
FLH has dash ignition, FXE has frame ignition
FXE - footpegs, FLH running boards
FLH - exhaust right and left, FXE usually staggered right side
Different shocks, wheels, etc.
Yes I have the front one just missing the rear. It was suggested awhile back that the swing arm was likely not original and I can't find any indication that there was a rear tab but why have a front tab alone? I got the details of the rear tab back then but just have not got around to making one. Too busy fixing thing from hurricane Sally. I see you re in GB, I'm out on 399
