rubber mount tanks

Default rubber mount tanks

I posted a similar question in the forum no one answered to evo I guess. I want to know should iI rubber isolate my fuel tanks ln my 74 flh j+p recomends using a chain cover isolator for top front and bottom front why cant I isolate the rear ? or would it cause a problem with the dash cover

I never worried about it, but why not try what you want, and see if it works. The dash cover doesn't mount on the tanks so give it a shot!

I have pulled off a few evo tanks and the models I have tinkered with have rubber mounts. None of my older bikes have this. I guess if you think there is a reason it is good, I am w/ POCO...go for it. I just don't recall busted mounts due to vibration...improper alignment, hell ya, but not vibration.

I had to repair these tanks just under the dash baseI think it would redeuce the chance of seam failure.
