Some times the casting number is the part number but not always but after the - this is the first year a part was produced. Being it is a -77 number I am guessing you are riding a Supper Glide or Low rider. Is this correct? The only change in 1977 on outer primary covers is this was the first year on FX models only they did away with the floor board mount on FX models. On my 1976 Supper Glide FX I bought new still had the floor board mount.
Try Vtwin or Biker Choice catalog online they have a number cross reference for parts .
So does Drag and Custom Chrome but that is the casting number and in my Harley parts book I could not find that as a part number. Please correct me if I am wrong.
