I use the blue "racing" Hylomar on all my builds where in the past I would have used Permatex, ATV, etc. Remains pliable, seals great, and in some cases you can remove the gaskets and reuse without any issues. Expensive, but well worth it in my opinion. I can find it at most auto parts stores...
It's good stuff.
The last time I looked for some at the NAPA store near me the counterman said they don't carry it anymore because of VOC's. Hell, it ain't like I smear it on the side of my home! I hope it's still available because it works great. Of course, I DO live in California...

I have heard from others that use it that it is no longer available in CA. Some of the guys I know pay to have it shipped to them out there or pick some up with they're on out-of-state bike runs...
I'm bay area and I see it all over even had some at Harbor Freight , hands down the best stuff you can use for shovels . Only sealant I've used for 15+ years , great for sealing intakes . Check Amazon and have it sent to you ? Beats playing chase all over town .
Thanks TwiZted Biker.
I have two tubes still.
That'll last me a long time.
Amazon is a good idea if it ain't local anymore.
I have not seen it at Harbor Freight but I rarely go in there.
I was recycling some oil today at an O'Reilly's Auto Parts and saw a empty peg that said black hylomar.
I've never seen black, only blue.
If it's the same basic stuff I'd try it. Oh well, like I said, it was an empty peg.
