primary leak

So, Sturgis North next week waiting for my inner and outer primary,,,so question I have a small crack on top inner front bolt hole that seeps a bit and leaking out of threads on drain plug wich I figure i will helicoil,,do you think I'd be safe to ride another 1000 km before the changeover?
I always have a litre of oil and atf with me and of course a heavy bag of tools,

So. can anyone tell me what the proper size of the drainplug on the primary of my 82 fx should be,,seems as though its been helicoiled,and its coming out and wore threads out on the bolt.

I'm working on a 1980 FXWG and the primary case drain is 1/2-20.
I imagine yours is the same.
To be sure, check in a catalog to see if it that same plug covers your 1982 FX.
