Default adding Slipons and no sert?

harley recomends that u do a new map for changing pipes. what if u only add slipons? i put SE slip ons on my 06 Dyna street bob. i did this when the bike was new. that about 4500 miles ago. i opend the baffle up to about 45 % restriction, and havent noticed any problems. no popping on decel. no loss of power on ecell and no dead spots in mid range. my spark plugs are burning better then when the stock pipes where on it. with stock pipes my plug were black and i mean black. i was told by two shop if I dont add A/C or mess with fuel, then i dont need to download. sodo i really need the download or a sert or a pwciii if bike runs fine?? I am not looking for any more power Just that harley sound that we all know

If the bike is running fine leave it be. As for the sert or pc111 you don't have to use either unless you want to upgrade further and get the most power possible, both are great products. I was told most HD's run rich any how from factory so you just gave the bike some more breathing ,that is probably why your plugs look better.

Default RE: adding Slipons and no sert?

when i bought the dyna it had the 8 degree injectors the dealear swapped for the rite injec. wich were 28 degree injectors and the bike then had proper power. now i am not a speed freak. and dont really care about horse power. went down the speed road with my years of riding crotch rockets and dont want to fly any more. just want to enjoy the scenery and all the riding has to offer. but i do waqnt the bike to run the way it should. like i said the re doesnt seem to be any loss of power or stumbles. but thank you for your reply.
