Hey guys, I already posted in the new members area but I figured I would check in here as well. Following the untimely death of my father in law, I recently inherited a 76 FXE. I'm not new to motorycyles but this is my first harley so I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. From the info I have gathered the motor was rebuilt less than a year ago, and the whole bike was put together shortly after. It's got a slight rake with a 2" over springer frontend, drag bars and an aftermarket tank, other than that it seems to be mostly stock. I was told that the motor was built to 96" and somebody that used to work at the shop where it was built told me that it was an S&S stroker kit. Does that sound right? I've got a few minor things that I need to fix but other than that the bike is perfect. I'll try to get some pics up soon.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Pics would be nice! An S&S 96 inch Shovel would look fine in my shop. Sorry about your loss, but ride that thing like the ol' man would've!
I've ridden it before, He had a pretty substantial collection. Last year at bike week he brought it up for me to ride, and left it at my house for a few months. It runs like a raped ape, I out ran a coulple of EVO's on it.
Welcome to the club. Sounds like a great ride. I have a similar '76 FXE, also with the S&S stroker. This was rebuilt with a 1997 Fatboy frontend. Have fun.

Tedali, Pococj, those are some good looking bikes. I had always watched the chopper shows on TV, but the more I pay attention to bikes the more I like the old ones, especially shovels and pans.
