Can anyone help me understand why, when I look at my Shovel, and the Evo, I see the corrosion, dirt, grime, chipped paint, a dent or two, etc, but when it comes time to spend money, all I want to spend it on is going faster...?

Because you're a freakin' junkie. And, just like every other junkie on the face of the planet you don't care how you (or in this case your bike) look. All you care about is your next fix.

Laughing my *** off, Fletch. True, though. I used to get my fix in high performance aerobatic airplanes, but once I reached the limits of the craft, it just wasn't the same. There are much more advanced mounts out there now, but they are way out of my price range.
