Hydraulic or solids? Makes a difference

Hydraulics wet... pushrod at its lowest point on cam, loosen lock nut, add slop, then take out till you just have no slop then 4 full turns and lock it down. Wait for unit to bleed down (it will turn freely when it has) then move on to the next.

Hydraulics dry...pushrod at its lowest point on cam, loosen lock nut, add slop, then turn down (lengthen) until it bottoms out, then back up 1-1/2 turns and then lock it down. Wait for unit to bleed down (it will turn freely when it has) then move on to the next.

Hydraulics solids...pushrod at lowest point on cam, loosen lock nut, add slop, then take out slop to the point where you can spin the pushrod with two fingers, then lock it down and move on to the next.

.

This part is critical!!! I've seen bent valves because of someone getting impatient and not waiting. Could take several minutes for each one to bleed back down, especialy when the motor is cold...

I had to switch to beer cuz I was too drunk to finish by the time I got to the second cylinder!! I could never pace myself with whiskey. Within an hour I'm 10ft tall and bullet proof and usually let my alligator mouth override my hummingbird ***!!!
