That cancels after 9 seconds or can be cancel manual for lane changes. It's about 70 bucks, I'm not sure it is worth it.
I'ld also bet it was the flasher unit. I've never converted to the new style auto turn off types yet. I'm still using the ones that quit when you take yer thumb off the button! But I've a friend who has converted on a 81 wg and he loves it. I buy my signal units at NAPA. Car types work just fine. Cheap too... I cant remember where the unit is on the FLHS. My 71 FLH was inside the nacelle. I would check your motor manual before you start taking anything apart. May save a few steps..

Thanks, The manual is unclear. I am pretty sure it is in the nacelle, but would like to know for sure. Fast thumb mine will flash. I may convert mine, I really notice after riding my RK. It can be akward. I looked at the wring instructions, not just plug and play, but does nto seem to bad. Problem if the module goes bad your out 70 bucks.
Yup, but it could last 50 years or 5 days. With electronics ya just never know!!
By the way, thank you for your service! I did 22 years in what my son-in-law calls the 'chair force'! 1973-1995.
Good luck!

Thanks, great picture. I beleive it is the one on my left as I look at the picture. Orange wire and green wire. The one with two yellows is 4 -way flasher. I don't think my FLHS has the 4 ways. Not by the manual anyway and I do not know how to turn them on if it does, lol.

Thanks and Thank You for your 22 Years. It was a great six years for me, loved it. I was at Keesler AFB for a year around 83, Good Times.

Thanks ALOT!!!
You bet, and yes it is the one you described. One of the first I did when I got the 84 was to go through it front to back, one section at a time. Took pics along the way.
After having no indicators for some time I decided to fit the badlands module.
Fitted them up and all worked great and due to a bunch of warnings on the instruction sheet I TRIPLE checked the wiring when I wired the module in but I didn't get to ride the bike for a few weeks and when I finally got to take it for a ride the indicators worked great for about an hour until the module caught on fire.
Not much fun when on a very narrow road with no where to stop and a cane-truck behind you!!!
So now running the good old flasher can and am down the cost of the module which now has a hole burnt through it!
