So I installe the oil tank ,starter, battbox,,kicker cover,,went to see how it kicks,,and it moves about 2 inches and is stuck, took it off at least 6 times,,Ièm not sure what Iève done wrong,,Ièm lining it up the way the book says.Any help would be appreciated
nd it is in neutral it seems if i put any pressure on the kicker, somethings not moving, pain in the *** winding up the spring and then trying to hold thedowel pin at 7:00,,,the book says 7:00 from the inside,I hope i'm just doing something wrong
Just a thought... the spring attached and wound it can be a bit tricky getting everything aligned at the proper position. You might consider removing the spring and kicker arm, putting the cover on and then putting the spring and kicker arm back on.
Doesn't sound like anything but alignment of gears

If you didn't change anything this is about all it could be , do what Panz suggested . Before you put all the nuts on just seat a couple and try running it through with a crescent wrench without the the spring , also helps to align everything .
