79 fx clutch
Can anyone please tell me what the minimum thickness...tolerance...measurement,( however you want to word it) of the fiber clutch disc can be for a 1979 fxs...my crappy clymer repair manual doesn't list it in table one of the clutch specifications like it should..this should be an easy question. I don't know how else to word it. If anyone has a haynes or factory manual it should be listed in the clutch specifications section..... a correct answer would be greatly appreciated

Depends on if they are stock of aftermarket , OEM measure out around .2100"or thicker and the aftermarket ones are thinner . There's a lot of forgiveness in a 4 sp clutch setup , unless the holes for the hub fingers wobble out it's hard to trash one .
