Talking Starting troubles

Hey guys

I run a shovel from 77 . Mostly stock condition all over .

Just had the inner primary off to renew front sprocket for the rear drive chain .
also put a new clutch assembly with hub in .

Now ... the problem is that the soccer wont start.

Starter spins ..... no engagement on the starting ring . After some push at the button it kinda chatters .... like a relay sound .
Battery is fully charged . solonoid is new . Starter is bolted on tight .

Also suddenly .. headlight doesnt work when turning the dashboard switch

Ignition control light does come on .Bike wont start with kickstart .

This is killing me

what the h... is wrong here ?

Double check the wiring to the solenoid, and make sure you have the plunger/starter bendix/spring assembly together correctly.

There's the starting point and check ALL the battery cable connections including the small ground wires .
