I`d like to see some more info on this topic. One of my friends just bought an FLH-80. The paperwork says it`s `79 but the parts of the bike would indicate something like `79. The main question is about the passenger footrest mounting points.
Casting marks on my 49 pan frame (EL/Fl same frame)..I took a bunch of pics of all the casting numbers I could identify and put it on a sheet of paper that is shown below.
