Got -76 Shovelhead moment ago. It is not very good shape, but I needed something to fix with. My current -95 FXD is too reliable to do any other mods, than maintenance work, and changing handlebar once a year
My shovel is better known as Blowfly ..... It has beautiful patina all over, not much shiny bits, and thats how it will stay. Only reliability will be improved.
Here is my 76 Shovel when I got it new when I picked it up from the dealer. It was a great bike and very reliable. Hate I had to sell it but I am building another one that is going to turn some Twin cam and Evo riders if they are able to see it go by. LOL I love my 02 Ultra and HD sidecar that has 92,000 on it but nothing sounds as good as a shovel no matter what you do to it.
Thanks
Being a bicentennial and look that good but I could get 4 times what I paid for it or even more. Cost me $3,695 out the door. I sold a gas tank like came on it about 3 years ago that was no perfect for $600.
Today was the first day after total renovation, when I got it running. It was FXE pretty original parts, but bad, bad shape. I " improved it a bit, at least engine and transmission is now totally rebuilt. Still to do some mods and installations to get it on road
