Header wrap is finished
First I don't know if header wrap is the wright term to use with bikes but I belong to a Camaro club/forum so obviously its called "Header wrap". Any way this is my first attempt at wrapping pipe.I think it came out pretty nice.( I know wrap is spelled wrong but it wont let me change it)

i tig welded 8/32 S/S screws on the back side of the pipes so i wouldnt see the straps -- a big washers and a nut makes for a clean wrap-- look close at the front exhaust port-- see the tiny nut ?? clean huh?

That looks great but no welding here. I kind of like the straps. I watched a dozen videos on wrapping and most of them used wire or what looks like hose clamps so when I found these thin straps I was really happy. I think they look good and they match the chrome . I'm also real happy with the overlap. Any way to me the wrap makes the bike look more aggressive.

I touched it about half way down the pipe about 2 minutes after they started smoking. I could keep it there. After running about 5 min. it got uncomfortable to the touch in about 4 seconds. Before they would take off skin just after start up. Id say that is quite a improvement.

Don't give up on finding some heat shields. If you find them, put them on over the wrap. It'll look pretty good, and cut down moreso on the heat.
