Default FLH instrument panel question

how do I get the damn thing off?

1978 FLH
Does it pry off, or unbolt? I'm lost.

Thanks for help.

not knowing if you have a stock dash cover the question with out a picture of what you have ??? is not helpfull in getting a good answer

But it is stock.

Stock instrument panel cover...there is a small nut below the choke lever that needs to be loosened. 1st take of the choke ****, then the nut. Then there is a nut that holds down the cover to the tankjs that comes off. On my 84 the panel comes off to the right and and then up in the same motion since the trip odometer is not datched from the speedo housing. On some models you need to remove te trip **** with a very small screwdriver and then the cover comes straight off.
