Anyone have an easy method or best way to put the stupid snap ring on the gear in the oil pump? talking about the Drive gear before you put the outside cover on, what a Pain it is.... just wanted to know if there are any tips, looks like I stretched it bigger than it was just to get it on, not it won’t go back to shape - gonna get the hammer out!
To help what I am talking about - Oil pump diagram in the book - #5 Circlip is what is killing me!
just a note -- when using the 90 degree snap ring plires if you should happen to over streach it / it will fall off and you wont believe what a 10 cent clip can do to the motor when not in place --
i remove the pump cover and support the pump shaft to the inside twards the front it make it way easer -- to install the clip == jz
