67' FLH Start up problems.

67' FLH Start up problems.
Just ripped off a bendix carb and replaced it with an S&S and I go to kick it but it just puts a little, several kicks later it still doesn't start. Any help is appreciated.

not having any info on your machine its all a guess - 67 has electric start and your kicking it / with an S&S sooo
if we are talking about a super E than -- the accerlator pump is it working did you adjust it yet - you said its new to the bike // pump the throttle and see if it sprays fuel if not turn the screw out counterclockwise 1 or 2 turns ( the one twards the front of the carb ) and see if it works / sprays now - Than -- 2 turns on the throttle pull the choke all the way up leave the throttle closed and kick it twice than turn the key on 1/4 throttle and kick -- let me know what happens - jz

Follow set up directions it will get you close and bike should fire. Then follow s&s instructions on air/fuel idle and eccel pump. My kickers i twist throttle 3 times kick 3 times then power up always 1-2 to fire up. Good write up on s&s website on how to set.....
