Ok when you need parts where do you turn? Local shop, J&P, Custom Chrome, Drag Specialties? Are there any internet places that sells quality parts instead of the junk taiwan parts?
There's usually some local Indy chopper shops....just find 'em. I got one 3 minutes from my office and swing through there often, great guy that...if he ain't got it in his shop, will order stuff.
same here -- our local shop will bend over backwards for ya -- large stock of used stuff also -- full service shop -- not just parts and owner operated --
3 years ago - bike all packed ready to leave for wy -- super E had the throttle shaft worn out bad -- billy gave me a spare carb and let me use it -- great guy!!
local shop first and foremost. he has been building and fixing shovelheads since they were new. he knows from experience what parts work and what are a waste of money. if he doesn't have it in stock he can order from all the major catalogs, and gives me a discount too. joe
