I HAVE PIPES FROMSANTEE 2" Y THERE ARETAPERED SO I HAVE NO CHOICE TO GO 1"3/4 BAFFLES SO THEY CANFIT IN ,ONCE IN ,A SPACER IS PUT UNDER THE BAFFLEAND BOLTED INSO THEY DONT FLAP INSIDE .MY QUESTION IS, SHOULD THE BAFFLES WORK JUST AS WELL WITHTHE LITTLE GAP AROUND OR SHOULD I FILL THEMALL AROUND WITH A SILICONE A COMPOUND? I AM ALSOPUTTING SOME POWER CONES SHOULD THAT HELP?MY SLED A 76FXE,FLH,74CI,HERE A PIC OF THE PIPES
1 3/4" baffles in a 2" pipe usually do a good job.
IMO, the torque cones are in the wrong end of the pipe to do any good....If it was a good idea to block the exhaust port, HD wouldn't market the thinner SE gaskets for EVOs and Twin Cams as performance enhancing products.
FIRTS OF ALL THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME,IN A NUT SHELL,YOUR SAYING POWER CONES NOT SUCH A GOOD IDEA UNLESS AT THE OTHER END ,IN MY CASE IMPOSSIBLE ,SO DO WITHOUT THEM,IT WAS A SUGGESTION MADE BUY THE SELLERS MAYBE JUST A SELL PITCH?
