Ok, she runs fine most of the time. Yesterday at 5pm and today at 1pm, it starts smoking white smoke when i am at idle. Then after that we get a nice little misfire going on. It came out of it after about 3 minutes yesterday, today I drove it 5 miles back home and never stopped misfiring, I put it on the charger hoping its a battery issue on the misfire.
it could be a bad plug it could be a bad wire < you have not posted if its a single fire so dont know if the coil is suspect --
thats the easy stuff -- you need to do a conmpression test and if you have a leak down test to determin the engines condition - low compression can and does do just that, and that could be a bunch of things, you need to check it before an answer can be given correctly - johnjzjz
Im no expert, but im thinking the fron cylinder has some sort of problem.
So, I pull the head and jug off, and the cylinder walls look like dog crap. There are more scratches on the walls of that than I have ever seen.
New plan. Either have my engine bored over and get new cylinder, or buy the S&S stroker kit. I already have a Delkron block, so I can make it work.
if you end up with te stroker idea go low compression 8 to1 -- if you want it to last with the $hit gas we now have -
Sure some one runs 11 1/2 to one 120 inch shovel kick only -
but in the real world you have to be able to use it any time you want - i always liked the 86 if its a 1200 or the 89 if its an 80 inch combo - they make great power and last like a stock motor if taken care of - just my take - johnjzjz
