ALL and I mean ALL of ya'll look at johns lay out -- follow what he has taken the time to show and your starter will work -- ya think maybe owning a shop he might know what hes talking about? -- also I found that in the picture above the part "B" it has 2 **** so to speak - when they wear flat you can have starting issues -- some solenoids come with a metal button that you insert under the spring - it adjusts the spring tension --
also in doubt u use a pair of vise grips and hold the neg terminal on and I take the plugs out -- I jump the solenoid first - ok it spins over like it should -- now put the plugs in -- ok spins good -- next turn on the iggy and see if jumping the solenoid starts the bike -- the use the starter button -- all it takes is for something to bind and it will fry your stuff -- in my case before it was a weak starter - the starter could barely turn the engine over -- but this was from repeated over heats - I replaced the solenoid,,and part "B" and the starter --
mine is wired from the starter button to the solenoid no relay - I have that small black relay --
