Just curious, I was thinking about using Lucas Syn 20w50 on my next oil change because it says it makes the engine quieter, have you noticed a quieter engine with the Lucas Syn 20w50?
I've been using Lucas oils since the second oil change from new and my bike had about 2000 miles on it. I had rode it on a couple really hot days and the oil temp was a little over 300 deg. and it started running rough. Lucas oil claimed to lower engine temp so I tried it. The temp rarely get over 275-280 on a hot day so I still use it. As for quiet ... I don't have baffles in my pipes so I don't know about that. ;-) I do try to keep my ears tuned for any unusual noice and everything is still running smooth. It also shifts pretty smooth using Lucas in the primary and trans. I'm pretty sold on it. Good Luck

Rotella 10/40 in winter, a nice 20/50 in warmer weather & HD 60W or RevTech 25/60 in the summer. All per the temprature charts in the owner's manual...

Ok, thanks for the info. Sounds like some good stuff. Thats what I will probably end up going with next oil change.
