Yeah, well... I went to the dealer yesterday for a local HOG monthly meeting, and lo and behold, a FXDLS was just being rolled onto the floor. I honestly wasn't blown away by the photos, but seeing it in person was a whole different ballgame. My sales guy was in the middle of a job with another customer, but the parts manager with whom I've become friends with came over and handed me a hanky to wipe the drool off my chin. He brought the sales manager over, who for some reason was very accommodating... I was told they would be selling them at about 19.5, but he gave me a number of 17.3 - 5 or 6 over list. 19.5, not a chance, but $500 for a new limited model, maybe. Went for a ride and I was blown away. I thought my low rider was doing great, but this is a monster. I swear the front wheel felt like it was coming up, and I'm no lightweight! Anyway, After running the numbers on my '15 FXDL trade, I was satisfied. Got a bit more then I expected, got every dollar I put into my extended put towards the new one... How could I say no? I didn't. So deal was done and all I had to do was bring mine down this morning (I drove last night)
Rode to work this morning, and headed out at around 950 to head down to trade, and what happens? It is SNOWING. So I wait it out and 30 min later it's clear and beautiful (NY weather is ridiculous). Ride down to the dealer, signed the papers and rode home. Guess what? It started snowing again. Anyway, outran the snow, got some dry pavement and tore it up (while still observing proper break in policy, which to me is ride it like you stole it). And this thing is a f'n monster. I LOVE it. I'm going to buy a license for my Power vision to hold me over until I put pipes on her and get a dyno run, but bone stock, it is substantially faster then my '15. I'm very happy!
Lets start seeing some mods...I'm still waiting on most of my parts to come in. I have put my Corbin seat, Avon foot pegs and SDC Pistol Pocket on mine.
So you just pop the cover in the fender and there's a nut for the seat bolt? I think I fingered around under there and didn't feel one...?

I'm just razzing you, a good half of me is jealous of these bikes, mainly because of the package of all that is good in these, great bike
