The first of my new system has arrived. Pure American Muscle here. Don't know true output other than modestly rated 70x4 and 200x2 rms. Thanks to LL for the hookup on some Hertz Mille Legend MLK 165.3 Components. After much debate the final consensus was to go with the new improved version over the HSK165XL's. I have some Second Skin sound deadener to go anywhere I can fit it on outer and inner fairing. New amp mounting plate freshly sheared, edges rounded and deburred in a giant tumbler for 2 hours (that is why its wrapped up) , and run fresh power and ground along with some good ZN5 interconnects. I will continue to update once the rest arrives and I start the install. I was just excited enough to get this amp in my hands I had to start the build thread now to show it off.
Oh and here is a guts shot for those who appreciate. This is one I found. Although I could I would rather not pull my heatsink apart with the way it's assembled.
Update. The rest of my setup has arrived. Plan to get it done Thursday when I am off work. Thanks to LL for being great to deal with. Now I just have to figure out where to squeeze the xovers in? On top of amp is likely but if I can find an alternative I will.
8 grueling hours later It's done. Sounds amazing. Will do a video tomorrow. Unless it's just me even after notching gauges I fought my amp for hours trying to refit fairing. Every time it seemed good it fought me again. I finally won but man its tight. Seems the 2 corners on amp are catching the fairing. Its 9x1.64x5.75. Ok here is pics of install. The xovers were a bastard too but got them squeezed in. Guys remember to check with LL247 if you need any stuff. Awesome guy to deal with!!!
