Seems funny to spend all that money to get in the wind, then spend a bunch more to get out of it.

...Because running a windshield or wearing a helmet with a face shield or any similar options COMPLETELY eliminates the effects of wind on a rider?

For most people, it isn't the general feeling of wind that's being avoided as it is vision. Wind blasting in your eyes or wind moving your head around to the point that you can't focus on the road will end a ride real fast. I ride in almost all conditions and the only thing that will cause me to pull over (pertaining to elements and natural conditions) is losing the ability to see clearly. Some folks also look for relief from some of the fatigue that comes from wind pushing against your body but if that means that they can stay on the road longer than power to them!

I can't believe this sort of $h!t has to be explained to some people cus they can't sort it out for themselves before dropping some asinine comment...

Anyone know if the Memphis Shades Fats and the recurve have the holes for the frame in the same spot? In other words, can I order a LRS and install it on my MS frame?

Skeez - I hear you, Brother!

I only use a shield if I am going to ride over 200+ miles, or a multi-day/week ride. Less general fatigue (especially neck and chest) at the end of a long day.

Ride safe!

On my Deluxe, the buffeting was bad. Real bad. I tried a couple different screen sizes and ended up cutting one down. Now it's nothing but a "fly screen". But cut down like that, it relieved a lot of wind pressure from my torso, and put my head/helmet (full face) in clean air. No buffeting, just enough wind pressure relief to keep the wind from blowing my off the bike at highway speeds, and a clear view of the road. 6" high from the top of the headlight.
