They were going to run the blue background yellow letters and yellow background black letters too, so they'd have 50's 60's 70's. But they didn't get enough pre-orders for the other ones so they ended up with only this one. I wanted the yellow but oh well.
I ordered mine with the form you print online about a month ago to go on my retro street bob. Set it up to send to my local auto club (AAA). Haven't heard back yet.
We'll see if my wifes sportster gives off enough retro vibe to put the black and yellows on her bike once we get the seat.

Just so you know it's $50 up front then an extra $40 per yr. I did it all by mail and the whole process took 3mo's. To me it was worth the wait -I hate going to DMV. You can print the form from CA DMV web site. I didn't include a check with my initial order so that may be why it took so long. After they sent a letter saying to send $50 check the plate was here in about 2-3 weeks.
