I'd like to get your take on how they ride. I'm 180 so that's a fair comparison.

After a month I switched to the 10.5 Burley's. the ride was much better but my fender would rub on just about every bump in the road. It would fray the line for the turn signal and brake lights causing me the inconvenience of taking 30 mins or so to repair it. My back could only handle about an hour or so in the saddle before acting up. I actually started trailering my bike to rallys and such. I also dreaded pulling into peoples driveway because I would scrape my frame EVERYWHERE! A buddy who rides the 10.5 Burleys weighs about 140 lbs says he doesn't scrape so badly.

In closing: It looks bad *** but it gets old quick. (in my personal opinion)
That is weird to me. I've got Slammers as well but I don't mind them at all. Take a trip every year with them as well.
