Arrived today. Got home from work and after icing my **** from the beating it took from the new LePera seat I put on yesterday, I installed it. And of course, I can't ride it until tomorrow night (home life stuff)
But it's pretty cool. Can't say without being on the road if it's drastically better then the daymaker it replaced (which I will shamelessly plug is on the dyna classifieds - that's really the only reason for this post ;-) but the adaptive stuff is pretty cool. Only rotated it by hand before securing it in my bucket, but I can see it being excellent. Very bright too.
I know, kinda useless photo, but it's all I got. I'll get some more soon.
I'm sorry to say, I really can't say! I haven't had the opportunity to ride in real darkness yet, pathetic as that is. However I have been parking in an underground parking facility where I can actually see the light pattern and at least in there, It's pretty amazing. The response of the active lights is fast, the additional illumination is very effective but most of all, the standard forward pattern is brighter and wider then the already excellent daymaker it replaced. One day I'll be able to give a real night ride report, but for not its only artificial night rides for me...
