I'm on my first harley now and its an older lowrider. I've never been on a sporster how do they compare power wise to a TC88. Also as I'm tall 6'3 would i be comfortable on one of these. I think I could maybe get one of these as a second bike next summer but need to find one to ride first and see if i like it.

Nobody answered your question... I'm not exactly an expert, but I'll give my .02.

I'm not as tall s you are (5'10"), but I like bigger bikes. All I've ever owned was Big Twins. I didn't like the older Iron Head Sportsters. I felt they were too top heavy.

But, last week I picked up a Forty Eight for my wife. I've ridden it around town a bit. It's fun. With the Forty Eight's forward controls, it's a bit better to stretch out. It's still not a real stretch, but it's comfortable for my 32" inseam. The stock bars are a little bit of a stretch, it makes me lean forward a touch. The wife bought some Hollywood bars over the weekend, they should be here Wednesday or Thursday. I bet that gives enough of a relaxed posture to make us both happy. Size wise, I've known a lot of larger guys who love Sportsters. But, really, you'd have to give it a run for yourself.

I also recently picked up a '14 Slim with a 103. It's a pretty powerful bike. The 48's 1200 is quicker! Maybe because the bike is lighter? Top end? probably not. The power curve on the TC103 is smoother and longer. The 48 is more nimble feeling, lighter to throw around and quicker off the line.

But, the Softail is honestly more my size.... But, don't think I won't be afraid to hop on that Sporty and take it for a spin every chance I get!

I really like those slims too I don't know what I'm gonna do yet but would really like to have a second bike so I can work on my lowrider and still have something to ride either that or trade it in on a new bike with a warranty

I'm 5'10 and I love my 48. Just put 1000 miles on it and couldn't be happier.

Latest on my 48 just purchased the Low Bro's Shotgun exhaust and have a power commander waiting to install. Most recent picture is with the tank badges taken off and I think it looks heaps better with those taken off.
