Keep your eye on the local paper. You will see him mentioned in a story at some point. Do stupid things like he did and he will likely pay for it at some point. "Local motorcycle rider dies in . . .."
To be clear he pulled up behind me while I was waiting to make my turn. He got impatient and "gunned it" onto the right hand shoulder around me just as I had my break in the traffic to turn.
If someone goes down do to their own sheer stupidity, then it's no ones fault but theirs and theirs alone. It's a bad deal but tough noogies, maybe he won't be in such a hurry the next time.
I don't understand the whole "Give other bikers a bad name" thing.
It is not my problem if someone else chooses to act like a douche, it is theirs. It is not your problem is I drive like an idiot, it is mine.
Why do you worry about how other bikers look to the public, do you do the same with a pick-up, a jeep. or a car?

This is but a small sampling of posts from a YouTube video of a rider getting run over by a cage, a few weeks ago in Tampa FL. This is what a lot of people out on the road think of bikers because TOO many of us ride and behave like idiots. When other bikers act like morons, it may become your problem when somebody decides to run your @$$ over for nothing more than because you are riding a Harley.

The legal and moral consequences of hitting someone are dire, so I understand the OP being unhappy about being put in this situation.
The legal and moral consequences that derive from a physical confrontation between two adults are also very dire. It was very unwise for the OP to approach the rider and berate him. Things can escalate quickly. Fortunately that did not happen here.
