Question LED fuel gauge

I just installed a flame LED fuel gauge. Everything went well, except all of the lights continue to stay on no matter how much gas is in the tank. Why do they stay on? Any ideas?

Are you sure you got the wiring in the correct order?

The lights should disappear as fuel goes down. Try to get it close to empty as possible according to mileage, not fuel gauge, and see if the lights disappear (should be less lights lit up as fuel goes down).

Another thing to keep in mind is that your float arm is not correct. To fix that requires removing the fuel pump assembly and bending the arm. Big hassle unless you need to be in there anyways.

Thanks for the reply. The only wiring that could be wrong would be in the harness plug when I put it back together. If I have the wires in the plug the opposite direction would that make the lights stay on?

I will try running the tank down low and filling up to see if that makes a difference.

You should be able to check the wiring without removing the wiring plug.

Just make sure that when it gets plugged in, orange - orange, yellow - yellow and black - black. That is for under the tank.

The harness that plugs into the fuel gauge itself is keyed so there is only one way it goes in.

I know on the PM LED gauge you have to calibrate it or all the lights will stay on, after all, the gauge does not know where the float is just by plugging it in. What gauge do you have?
