Most of you guys missed the whole point. Reread elevenbravo's post. It is the most informed response on this thread. This has nothing to do with how fast you ride in a straight line. It happens mostly in a sweeper at speed. It is a well known issue, complete with lawsuits and an aftermarket fix. I hope most of you never experience it, because you will probably sell your bike after you change your pants.
I did experence this on my 07 FLHRS, it will get your attention big time.
Dealer did find neck bearing needed tweaking and front axle alignment corrected also. Much better, but these baggers do not like to be pounded into a sweeper, my FXDWG loved it, but not my FLHRS.
Side note: I upped my rear shocks from 7 lbs. to 15 lbs. = smoother ride and felt more stable into sweepers (at moderate speed).
FYI; 115 mph is someplace i can visit but I don't want to spend any time there. I can go 90-95 all day but the cruz only works to 85 so that is my happy place....
A couple of Harley riders were killed yesterday near Zephryhills, FL when witnesses said their front wheel began to wobble and they veered headlong into the path of a Dodge Caravan.
The article doesn't say what kind of Harley they were on.
Never heard of any wobble issues on a Road King and I've never experienced any. If there is a wobble on any bike it is likely caused by a loose fork nut or some other issue not because it is a Road King.
