As long as the bike is set up right....front fork bearings set correctly, motor mounts good, motor aligned properly, and spokes tight and true...you should not experience a wobble. Yes, I have read of some high speed wobbles over the years, but have never experienced it. I have 64k on my RKC and haven't had any problems at some very high speeds both riding solo and empty and two-up with 100 lbs of luggage. I also haven't had any problems on the Electraglides that I ride at work.

I did have a rear wheel that the spokes came loose in twice on the RKC. Each time it acted differently. The first time, it would weave when backing off the gas at about 70 mph. The second time, it would weave at low speeds, say under 20 mph. That problem was due to the MoCo's sh!tty spokes not the bike design.

Any motorcycle can develop a 'wobble' caused by an accumulation of small deviations from OEM design standards. Your Buddy is giving you hearsay information. Buy the bike and try it out up to the speeds that you will ride. If any kind of instability is observed, have all of the little things checked by a competent H-D mechanic. It can be corrected.

I own and ride a '05 Road King Classic. I have ridden two other Road Kings. None have any sort of wobble at any speed. I also have a '05 Sportster Roadster and used to have a '04 Sportster Custom. Neither show any signs of instability. ................. BC

99 roadking here and I get wobble at higher speeds passing cars when I cross the center line and at higher speeds around corners I will start checking spokes tire pressure and neck bearings. Anyone got info on the stearing dampners?
Never had wobble on my 2005 Road King Classic until I broke three spokes due to them loosening because the dealer didn't check them at tune up time and I failed to do so as well. You'll really notice it coming out of a curve because the lean distorts the rim. When you straighten up, you'll get this disturbing wobble. Feels like it could be in the steering at first. INterestingly, the wobble will tend to lessen if you ride straight for a while as centrigual forces will tend to pull the wheel back into shape.

Put on a new wheel and she's steady as a rock again, even two up with luggage.

98 mph, no wobble, even with the fairing on, mine is also an 06 RK. The only time I notice a woble, is I go over a steel grate(drawbridge), and or encounter bad grooves on the road.

Have been to mid 90's with all this fairing on and off on my RK with out any wobble at all.

If its not the road, I'd check tire wear, psi, rear belt and wheel alignment and swing arm bushings and front fork bearings.
