Silly me, thought I was the only one who lusted after XL Roadsters and Dynas. Anyway here's my contribution.
Damn it! Now you guys have me looking at these older sportys! That 2-1 pipe looks great on there. I would imagine the 100 lb difference would add up in the corners.
I feel like my Dyna is getting close to where I want it to be, just a few more things, then maybe I'll look at a used sporty.
C&C seats sent me the finished pictures of my new custom seat. Should be here on Friday in time for our weekend ride. Went with the sport tour for the wife and I. Going to get a custom fastback done eventually.

Looks good. Did you get the fancy gel or anything in it? I have a C&C fastback that I quite like but it's not so bueno for my girlfriend. I also have a "barcalounger" (which I think is an HD Dyna touring seat, or something) but I slide onto the tank when I hit the brakes in a hurry. Maybe I'll just have it reshaped.

I broke another pair of cheap turn signal mounts (threads stripped out) so I put my quick release clamps back on but they never seem to hold it tight enough. Well, I had some additional longer struts from Rifle and some triple tree turn signal studs so I installed those as well. 4-point mounting setup. Super solid now. Of course it defeats the point of the QR clamps but ain't care.

I have the HD sundowner which is the big touring seat and I have had the same problem when riding with my wife. I feel like I'm getting pushed up on the tank all the time and I hate that. I wanted something that I sit more back and down in. This is the C&C sport tour which has the same front section as the fastback for the rider. The only difference is the back passenger area as the sport tour has a much larger back area for my wife. I plan on getting a fastback for when I'm by myself though. No I didn't pay for the gel. I've heard it retains a lot of heat and when I'm parked outside for a couple hours during the summer that's the last thing I want to deal with. I'm happy with how it looks so far. I'll take pictures when it gets in of it on the bike.
