Black '16 Road Glide.......2 into 1 Exhaust Systems
Hello. New owner of '16 RG. Just picked it up last week and when I get to the point of being able to upgrade the exhaust, I'm interested in the 2 into 1 setup. My bike is black and I'm torn between the chrome system or black system. I would like to see pics of owners black RG's with their 2 into 1 system in chrome or black.
Also, when its time to upgrade the exhaust system what other mod is necessary or required to get the best performance without tearing into the motor. New intake setup, fuel mgt, etc? Thanks.
I'd go with the V&H 2 into 1. Had that on my SG and it was great. The map the FP3 has for it is spot on. I kept my intake stock. The stock intake gives the engine enough air the way it is, it can only suck so much (unless you are going to cams etc.).
Check out baggersmag exhaust sound off on youtube. Out of all the exhausts they test, the pro-pipe has given the best numbers that I have seen (out of the pipes they test...they don't test every pipe on the planet...I'm sure there are better).
Nice! Thanks for the info and pics guys. 'Preciate it........
MatteGlide15......that is a bad scoot!
The bike (FLTRX) is brand new and I've ridden about 200 mi's so far. They said to bring it in for the first service at 1k mi's. While in for the service I want to get the exhaust done. We also discussed it being dyno'd since they have one onsite. I've thought about cams, and I'm sure they'd have to do the install on them in order to not void the warranty.
So, what about cams? Which ones would you use? The definite plan is to probably get the V&H 2 into 1, FP3, and possible intake.
If you like the Pro Pipe then just keep it all V&H. The Vo2 air filter I'm running fits behind the factory cover and the FP3 has a map for this setup so there's no need 4 a Dyno cause you can use the auto tune feature to fine tune it. That's what I did and it has ran like a champ 5k+ miles later.
Now if you wanna do cams increase performance and chase HP/TQ numbers I wouldn't go this direction. I would look into D&D boarzilla exhaust or a Dragos pipe. I've heard they put out the biggest #'s. Far as the air filter goes really shouldn't matter long as it's a high flow filter so go with what you think looks good on your bike. Your gonna have to speak with whatever tuner you decide to go with for fuel management advice cause they are gonna have to Dyno it.
