Yeah, I was at uni for a week, so had to take some fancy clothes, computer, thesis, and other stuff I wouldn't have normally worried about if I was just cruising somewhere. The bag sitting on the passenger seat had a bike cover in it, and some extra wet weather gear I didn't end up using at all, so wouldn't worry about taking it again. But it all worked pretty well.
You need one of these T-Bags, and a sissy. Would work great for your laptop, and gear. I have saddle bags, too.

Under all that wrapped up mess in my last post is a set up a bit like that. I have the HD detachable sissy bar and rack, and a medium sized Kuryakyn bag.
You can see the solo bag I normally run, and the turn signal relocation kit in the pics below, but they aren't the best images. Please excuse the mess in my shed. I finished uni today after many many years, so I have lots of projects that need attention.
I also usually put a bit of clear contact plastic down, and a micro fibre cloth when ever I run the 2-up seat.
Yeah, I think its pretty much everything I could want. Much much nicer than my Sporty, and, I like it way better than any other Dyna or Softail I've ridden. Maybe later a set of cams and a 117, but, I'm happy as it is.
I think that would mount beautifully on the little panel behind the speed screen so that I can easily glance at it to see turn signals, speed, tach etc without taking my eyes off the road too much. At the moment I find I have to continually move my head up and down to look at the dash on the tank, with is a pain in the neck .... literally. At the moment I have a mount there for my phone so I can have google maps within view, but I'd find somewhere else for that.
I've emailed the manufacturer, but unfortunately our bikes are too new, and they don't have an adaptor to suit the FXDLS. I am tempted to put this new shiny electrical engineering degree to use and see what I can make work..... but, its a lot of cash to outlay if I can't make it work. From memory there wouldn't be much change out of $1,000 Aussie.
The gauge cluster absolutely is in the wrong spot but I am sure this was done because of previous models and tooling at the factory and cost. Even with the handle bar position you still have to take your eyes off the rode which can be dangerous at times. I have talked to a couple of shops I get the same reaction... which is kinda scarey. I am sure a So Cal company will come up with a solution for this. It's just when and how much.
Guys, maybe you can help me. I tried to install my 5 3/4 Led Daymaker headlamp. Part# 67700145A. Ive noticed that the stock headlight has 2 wires connected to the park light. The led headlight does not have that. Only an extra red wire with a blue transparent plug. Whats this for? Theres no where this will plug into. Also when i plugged the triplug to the headlight housing it didnt plug all the way. Theres a small gap in between. Is that ok? Didnt bother starting it up as i wanted to make sure and ask you guys first.
I watched some videos on youtube but didnt see those 2 plugs that are connected to the park light. Only saw the triplug, nothing else.
