My dog LOVED riding but at 100 pounds she was not going to be on the saddle with me! But she loved riding in the sidecar.
She passed away last spring and the new dog isn't into riding yet.
Sorry to here about her passing. Awsome pic!
This my pack. I took the old grey faced black lab with for a few short rides when he was a puppy. Stuffed him in a forward facing backpack. Lord that was fun!

I used a carrier (soft sided) for taking dog on airplane. Got it at Petco for about half of the Pet Palace, and had more ventilation. Put it on the rear seat of Ultra Limited and bungled down. 22 lb, black pug ( yes, a little overweight, so was the dog).
Also took him on the plane with it a couple times. Southwest only charged $75.00 and he could ride under the seat.
Not sure what Mike would report completely legal and in carrier secured to seat if you fall over at slow speed or stop won't get hurt. He's probably safer than you. At highway speed you're both screwed. Maybe no one should ride that fast, too dangerous :-)
Thanks everyone, all good info! I doubt I'd go longer than an hour without stopping to let him drink and walk, simply because I'd really only take him if my girl was with me, and she'd want to stop every hour or so. Also, if I set him up with anything that has direct wind he will have to wear goggles or not go - pugs eyes are very vulnerable.
Why not just tie a long leash onto the bike and go a little slower. He could get some really good exercise and your girl could still go with you!
Seriously, I notice you wear a helmet in your profile pic. You will be putting a dog helmet on him won't you?

Awesome! This is the kind of info I'm looking for! I'll go to Petco and check that out, and yes, the dog's safety is of the utmost importance. And, our pug is black too!

Or, I could put them both on the bike, and a long leash on myself, and tow the bike. I need the exercise and that would be greener!

I would love to, but I haven't seen any yet. Where should I look?

Here is another post, my cattle dog is 45lbs, I leave the lid open, he is strapped in. And he loves it, anytime he hears a Harley he gets excited. I only go local, dog park & beach. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...nds-out-3.html
I'd love to find something for my Pit Bull & Rat Terrier that wasn't very expensive. My Rat Terrier isn't that big though. Just finding something for my big doggy to fit in.
