Default Oil filter housing

Has anyone heard of doing this or have done this, removing the oil filter mount from the motor and plumbing it for a remote filter mount?? Looking at an 2013 103" to buy and this has been done to it.

Running the DK Custom oil filter relocation, it's a very worthwhile upgrade. Monitoring temperatures with my Power Vision before and after the install I'm seeing a 15° - 17° engine temperature reduction with the oil filter relocated; the oil filter is a FLO PSC4C permanent oil filter.

It's a simple process to remove and clean the PCS4C oil filter, absolutely mess free oil changes now, no oil drooling when you pull the hot filter

I did an install thread on the relocation HERE

This kit looks like you can remove and go back . The guy that has the engine said his you can't go back unless you change that part of the engine with a new block

Thanks for posting that Tin! I've been looking at one of those from DK for my WideGlide as well. The stock location just flat stinks, and I don't think there is a way to change it without making a mess. The BIG plus with the remote and the filter is the reduction of oil temp.

What brand of filter housing has that guy used? Without a bit more info we can't help much.

My Evo came new with a remote filter housing, it was only in the mid-90s that H-D went to direct mounted ones.

Are these parts from two different kits? The reason i ask is your front down tube
Filter bracket is the same exact one i run except for different hose fittings.
It is made out of Aluminum from 3GUYZ.COM. Not sure why half your kit is cast.
