I wear glasses, and this year I switched to a Nolan modular(104 something) I really like the large shield area. If it's not wet it's the one I'll wear. I have a bunch of helmets, I'm lucky enough to fly around the country for work, which I leave stashed with friends and clients. I have all the low end brands hjc , built, HD, etc. I find them all equal in comfort and yet slightly diferent. Now that I have paid for one Nolan I may try one of the other expensive brands when I need a new one.
The Nolan 104s work very well with eyeglasses, the check pads are eyewear adaptive so they will accommodate eyeglasses without feeling like the arms of the glasses are digging into your head.
The eyeport of the shield area is huge. I was afraid going from 1/2 and 3/4 to a modular or full face would result in feeling that I had less peripheral vision. I can honestly say that my field of view is better with the Nolan than with the 3/4 I was wearing
Just bought the bell qualifier for around $100 at my atv dealer, and it's comfortable, also I have not worn a helmet in many years. My son has a Icon Airmada which is a little nicer than the bell but 3 times the money.
I went with a modular helmet over a full face. I wear it only when touring or in the cold. If just banging around town or for the day, I wear a half, for now. I am in the process of looking into a 3/4. My modular is the Shoei Neotec. I chose modular over ff simply so I can take a drink of water with out having to pull over. The Neotec is comfortable and quiet. I can open the ac ducts with one hand over the forehead and the breeze is heavenly on the warmer days, although very much louder. Has a drop down sun visor so I don't have to wear any sunglasses. For the 3/4, I am thinking of staying in the Shoei family and getting the RJ platinum, though no drop down sun visor may change my mind.
I have a Arai Signet Q, a Shoei Qwest, and a Harley (HJC) modular. The Arai is the most comfortable and the Harley modular is the noisiest. The modular is the most convenient for putting on and taking off glasses. The Arai came with a pinlock faceshield which keeps fogging down.
I got both the Arai and the Shoei on sale (20 % off) but since both had graphics on them they were still about the price of a plain helmet, which is not inexspensive.
I've been looking at one of those a lot lately, mainly as a road trip helmet. I have a Simpson Outlaw Bandit currently that looks cool, but is lacking on features
I like the DLX for possibly putting a Sena system in it since it's already set up for oen...would you say it's quiet enough that this is a good idea?
Yuppers, It works great with the Sena.I wear earplugs also, and the sound is excellent. I think you would like it, but like I said, it is more round than long.
I bought the Shark Evoline Pro Carbon... https://www.chromeburner.com/shark-e...rbon-gloss-dks Had to get it from the Netherlands as it's not available here. I suspect it's because it's not yet DOT approved. I went with it 'cause I wanted a modular & it's about a pound lighter than it's fiberglass or whatever twin.
I really like it. I did have to take some padding out of the removable cheekpads as they gave me chipmunk face but now it fits perfect. Has the internal dark flip down shield, real handy.
Took about 10 days to get here, no issues, double boxed.
Worth a look if you want a modular.

I just picked up a cool looking LS2 helmet from a local shop. $100 brand new, has flip down tinted "glasses" behind the normal clear shield. I have owned Arai & Shoei helmets in the past and they are awesome helmets but figured for something I wear maybe once or twice a year, I'd give the LS2 a shot.
