I have a Lepara solo seat on my bike. I love the look and how low it gets me.
My Lepara is 11 inches wide. This is where the back of my legs start down. It tapers to about 6 1/2 where the front of my legs fall.
I will be hauling a lady when the weather breaks and i don't think a pillion will cut it comfort wise. I have an old two up seat that was thrown in with the bike and the seat area is 14 inches wide. same as the sun downer that gets good reviews. When i put it on the bike it spread my stance way too wide. not even close to having my feet on the ground. As you can see the area where my leg wants to head down is 10 inches. Anyone know the taper of the Sun Downer? Anyone know of a narrow two up?
If you like the 2 up seat that you have then take it to a upholstery shop and have it cut down , nobody will know it but you , I did that on mine with the same problem and saved a lot of bucks
I had a Mustang tripper fastback 2-up which is low profile but doesn't give much comfort for the passenger (it is okay for short trips). Picked up a Mustang wide tripper solo with backrest and passenger pillon. Much better for passenger if/when you have one. I am vertically challenged and prefer to plant my feet so use low profile whenever possible i.e. shocks, seat, fork, higher boot heals/soles.
Mustang Wide Tripper solo with backrest w/ passenger pillon an HD backrest
If you like the seat but want to just narrow the neck, you could send it to these guys here. Mean City can mod the way you like it and they're popular on the touring section.
the ad says narrow front to get the legs down but the seat is still 14 inches.
it's my favorite seat, style wise . any experience with it? this particular seat is for the smaller tank. leather up has it for $425. the mustang wide tripper look good. so it would be a good choice for a shorter rider?

The ladies in our lives tend to have a wider pelvis than us chaps. Ever noticed that Harley dual seats have a wider rider's seat than for the passenger? That should be the other way around, so if you want your lady to ride more than once make sure she is SUPER comfortable! Don't give her any of the narrow perches shown above or you will soon be riding solo once more......
