Hello everyone I'm looking for suggestions possible pics of good comfy solo seats. Looking for something that looks nice and good for decently long rides.
Rockin fhe oem street bob seat. I made a point of buying one before we went out of state (last year) cause I knew my Badlander woulda tore my *** up like a ****in prison inmate.
@pgarbac how is the Corbin on long hauls? Does the back hold you in the saddle under hard excel?
I have my stock solo still looking for something a little better for long hauls
I would be willing to bet there are almost as many lightly used seats in garages than there are illegal aliens. It's definitely a buy and try. I have sciatica and have been thru five so far on my fatbob trying to find one that didn't cause assburn after a 100 miles or so. Stock fatbob seat, mustang wide tripper, stock hd dyna seat, mustang squareback, hd badlander which came with bike.. Latest is a danny gray ist solo. I think it will do the trick after a couple of 100 mile rides this week. Best thing you can do is see if a friend with same bike and "borrow" their seat for a good ride and see how it fits. Good luck!
First of all, mr billib, that's ****in hilarious and probably true. Second, don't buy seats new, they are always dirt cheap at swap meets. At least around here they are (se mi). I bought my Badlander for 60 bucks, and it looks brand new. For me, a seat has to look good too unless I'm only using it for long trips. That's why I like the oem Fxdb seat, it shows a lot of the fender, and in my opinion it compliments it a lot. It's the most comfortable seat I've ever had. I can ride 10 hours on it and still feel good.
Another ers thing to consider, my HD dealer has a demo program so you can actually try a seat for a few days before you buy it. I think every HD dealer does this, but not 100%. Unfortunately, it's probably only available for HD seats, but definitely worth looking into.
Know what you mean Nick, I usually get them used off flea bay, and if they don't work for me I sell them. Bought last Mustang new though. Keeping for the few times I carry a passenger or want to protect fender for camping/trip gear.
SE Michigan? Lived in beautiful Monroe for awhile working at Fermi in 1978. Home of Custer, Monroe shocks and lazy boy recliners. Lots of good bars too.
Yea my girl has a sportster so I only use my 2 up for grocery shopping when I need dog food I just ratchet strap it to the sissy bar or long trips to protect the fender like you said. Yea Monroe is nice (I'm in Macomb county) they're buildin so much **** here though it's drivin me insane. I wish we could move to South Dakota lol.
