Just figured I'd share what I built with everyone here. I built a quick detach bracket for saddle bags that uses lockable sissy bar latches so the bags get locked to the bike. Now just to be fair, I got this idea from another members thread (can't remember who it is) who made something similar, just not lockable. Due to all the cutting/grinding on the metal I didn't take pictures while I was making the brackets, but here is the end result.
So the only parts needed are HD detachables dock points, sissy bar latches (I chose lockable since I lock my daily carry in my bags), and 1/8 flat stock steel available at any hardware store. I used a cutoff wheel, drill, and grinding bits, and cut the metal similar to the HD detachable side plates. Then drilled two holes where the saddle bags would mount to the brackets. I held the two pieces of flat stock together with 2 vice grips so the brackets would be identical to each other.
Due to Viking bags having weak structure, I also cut plates for inside and outside of the mounting surface. Might look a little wierd having two more docking points, but my bags are always on the bike, I made these cause I hated having to remove bolts to pull the bags off every time I wanted to wash the bike. It's ten times easier to get to the wheel with the bags off, now they simply pop off with no tools at all.

Forgot to mention I already had the lockable latches laying around, so this cost me a total of 8 bucks for the flat stock, and 25 to have everything powder coated.
I'm considering selling these at swap meets and Craigslist and stuff so feel free to tell me what you think they'd be worth. Nobody seems to sell anything of this design, and all the mounts I've seen so far appear to be quite bulky. I know I couldn't charge anything rediculous like 200 bucks or anything, but am curious to see what others would pay for this setup.
