Post a video up if you do!

I'm a long legged freak so on and off from the high side feels very natural to me

Ordered up a few more fiddley-bits this morning; you can never have too much chrome...

Hey gang, my buddy was looking at my bars and said I was "missing my rubber mounts". Is the '12 WG supposed to have "rubber mounts" where the handlebar clamp and risers are? I did a search and found "dampers" which looks to be more what he's talking about.

Although I don't feel much vibration in my hands, I will say that there's enough vibration in the handlebars that it's difficult to see in the mirrors. So dampers look like they'd be a good addition.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

With the height of your apes I'd be running solid riser bushings. Always one of my first mods is to remove the rubber bushings and change to LA Choppers chrome solids. When you changed your bars to apes did you leave the rubber bushings in place or did you buy your Wide Glide with the apes already installed?

When you sit on the bike can you slightly rock the bars/risers back and forth? If you can you've got either rubber bushings or possibly poly bushings. If they're rubber you'll find solids will actually clear up those mirrors a bit and keep the bars solidly in position...

Betcha he said that "with confidence"...that always sucks the uninformed in (uninformed at that point)

"Riser Bushings" are in your Top Tree (stock rubber, alternately poly urethane or solid (metal))

He's a good guy but as with all friends he has a lot of opinions. I just smile and say OK when he tells me stuff. He also told me the factory OEM Dunlap tires were the best tires I could get when I mentioned wanting to get some better tires. So that let's you know more of his level of expertise in all things Harley.

It does not seem like I can rock my bars a little. They seem to be solidly in place.

When I first got the bike I took it to a "custom" shop to have the bars and cables all installed. I wish I knew then what I know now, because now I would do it myself for 1/4 of the cost and it would be more specific to what I envisioned. But it is what it is. Ever onward. According to the work order, they installed "Handlebar Solid Bushings".

So, what are my upgrade choices, if any? We went for a long ride today and although there's some vibration in the grips, I really don't notice it. (Maybe those Kuryakyn grips are working as advertised.) But the mirrors are almost useless, especially cruising at higher speeds.

Poly bushings are what you want.

Rode for an hour attempting an autotune. Stupid PV froze at least 30 times during that hour and never even registered a hit. I give up!!!!! Tossing it in the nearest lake!!!!
