Thanks, Jay Guild. I think the 412 series are the best choice.
Do you or anyone else know the length of a stock shock? 2002 FXDL

You won't even notice the 1/2", and the burly slammer is a great shock(MHO). Even if you went with an 11in shock, you need to check for fender & belt guard contact.

There is 11" on there now but I can't tell what kind. They have been in there since she bought it in 2002 and the height works.
Hipefully the progressive is better then what's on there but it too might be an older progressive. No stickers.

Oh, those look like leakers and probably not progressives

FYI, Progressive shows 12" as the stock length for a 2002 FXDL

I'm also 5'2" and about the same weight as your girlfriend. I put 11" progressives shocks on the rear wheel and the "super reduced reach solo seat" - lowers another inch and scoots you forward a bit. Since we don't weigh that much, I keep the shocks on the lowest setting. My Low Rider and now Wide Glide just glide with these shocks. I also put them on my first sportster, a 95 883. I really like the Progressives. Very nice. Oh, my boots have a 2" heel too. Lots of things she can do to get lower.

I just put drag specialties rider adjustable shocks on my super glide. 11". They adjust ˝" up or down. I have mine set at 11 ź". Comfortable to me. $269 though. I would recommend, to me they're way more comfortable than stock.

So this area must be internally threaded also?...for the height adjustment
