Today I ordered on tires for the new wheelset that's on order (18" X 3 1/2" and 18" X 5 1/2" RSD Morris). After a bunch of research I decided on Avon Cobra's, due to the round tread profile and good reviews.
I will be using a modified V-Rod front fender (5" wide) due to the extra width of the front tire, the stock 100/90-19 is 4.3 inches wide, the new 130/70-18 is 4.7" wide and 0.6 inches shorter at 25.5 inches tall. The new rear tire is the same height as stock at 25.8" tall, but wider at 7.2"'. This should sharpen up the handling a bit, I am looking forward to to feeling how radial tires work on the Dyna.
Hmm...only a actual .4" difference for a Nominal 30mm (1.18") difference?
I see those "Morris" wheels are their "Take" on the old Morris wheels

my apes ran the same angle as my forks when I bought my wide glide. I pushed them forward so they're basically straight up now. I am in the process of making a leather fender bib. Post where I'm at now and update as the bib gets finished.
Blank 9oz cowhide panel with mount holes cut, ready for some leatherworking Edges beveled and deco trim notch cut in Wet forming to fender Carlini 16" flying apes moved to straight up position.

Good Morning Multi,
Thanks for the feedback. Yea, Avons tire chart lists this tire at 4.7 inches wide, the tire calculator I use calls the width for this size at 5 inches nominal. Dennis Kirk lists this tire at 5 inches nominal, everybody agrees with the tire height at 25.5 inches tall. So until all this stuff shows up I dont know what to tell you other than in either case I have enough clearance to run the V-Rod fender with this tire at the nominal 5 inch dimension. The tire load ratings improved with my tire selection to 63V on the front and 74W on the rear, so no worries there.
Playing with RB racing's rake and trail calculator, and a bit of creative fudging the numbers, with 13 3/8 inch shocks and a front tire .6 inches shorter than stock (.3 lower axial height) should end up with 28.4 (ish) degrees rake and 4.2 (ish) inches of trail. So that looking good for a big cruiser, I will break out the protractor and some string to verify this after the new wheels are on. https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/advchoppercalc.html
Ahh the RSD Morris wheels, you nailed it. It was the connection with the early Sportster Morris wheels that made that decision for me, To my eye its a good looking simple wheel that has a very traditional old school Harley look with modern rim sizes, fairly light too.
