I mentioned EVO, only because of the 1450 was the first twin cam(’99-00). Your application would be the determining factor what fits, but if you’re looking at used bikes different story. Another thing about the EVO, I’m running across quite a few building bobbers down around here and that crate EVO from HD is what they’ve been going to.

If you can find an '02 fuel injected fat boy, that would be the way to go. '02 was the last year of the forged crank and Timken crank bearing. The Delphi fuel injection is great and the engine is hard mounted and counterbalanced. That combination will be trouble free for a long time...
Evo engines are nice and reliable, but vibration is a concern of yours and they vibrate like mad compared to Twin Cams...

Yep, that's why I bought an 02 EFI Fatboy. But keep in mind that there is still the weak spot......cam chain tensioners. Just switched mine to Screaming Eagle upgrade with the high output oil pump with 30,000 miles on the clock.
