Sadly, nothing. I'm waiting as patiently as I can for my welder to arrive, then I need to dump my C25 and get it refilled with straight argon, run the power and aux ground and teach myself to TIG before I tackle the next step. Getting tired of waiting! Excited, tho.
Also ordered all my new consumables (alloy, electrodes, collets, gas lenses, cups, etc), 10/3 power cable, new Lincoln 4C style ADF cartridge for my helmet, diamond wheel to sharpen the Tungsten, etc.
Whatever grinding wheel you use for tungsten NEVER use it for anything else. If steel gets on there it will instantly contaminate the weld. Especially aluminum.

Thanks! Good tip. I didn't know that. I figured steel would be OK.
Yep. Any brushes for prep too. When welding aluminum it has to be cleaned with tools just for aluminum or just for steel if welding steel. If you get contamination it will pop and sputter.
Aluminum takes practice. I max the machine out and once I see the puddle just start moving quick and don't keep heat in one spot to long or it will melt/warp, or pop a hole through it.
I knew not to mix with aluminum. We worked with copper, stainless, & aluminum at work but it was all brazing. We had strict containment for the aluminum processing tools.
Tig is so much fun. Seeing some of the stuff going on your bike, I can't wait to see what you build. I get a tig and I'm making every bracket, battery tray, covers, out of aluminum for weight savings.
