Sounds like a good deal but the switch back was never in my radar. It's a multipurpose without doing each function very well. Buy a bike for what it is intended as the main function.
I bought one and vibrated so bad the dealer let me trade it back after a month for FLHR Road King
I can't understand why they would vibrate. I have a low rider and there is very limited vibration if any. I would think since similar frames and engines that the ride quality would be about the same. I rode next to a guy this past weekend with a Switchback and his wife made comments about vibration. I thought his bike looked great and he seemed happy with it though.

the switchback vibration issue was the exhaust geometry.. we came up with a fix on the switchback owners site called the clevis pin modification, cost $5.. once done all of that vibration went away OR pretty much ANY aftermarket full exhaust system 2-1 or 2-2 got rid of the vision blurring vibration also..
long story short they are a GREAT all around motorcycle
I and my wife, both like ours. It's a touring friendly Dyna that is very agile. Are the bags as big as a touring, no, but I can still stuff a jacket in one side and pickup a 6 pack and stuff it in the other side when headed home from a ride. Like any HD, it needs some tweeks. Suspension upgrades (like any HD) are worth it. I also think they are a great looking bike. I get quite a compliments on it.
This bike gets compared to the closest thing in a Softail equivalent a lot, the Heritage Softail. Personally, the Switchback reminds me of the Steve McQueen movie, Bullitt, whereas the Heritage reminds me of the Blue Oyster. Flame suit on..

I went for a test ride on a m8 street glide and ultra at my nearest dealer and they did not impress me at all compared to my Switchback. I checked out the bags on them, yes they are a little larger but still seemed too small inside.

Beautiful bikes. What windshield are you using and how do you like it?
For the right price I would buy one, I would put 16" spoke wheels all around, a detach bat wing and some apes............oh, wait I did all that to my Street Bob, guess it would make for an easy transfer of parts.
If I were to buy one, it would become my new touring bike that isn't an 800lbs + beast of a bike, just wish the bags were bigger. Then I could take my Street Bob back to it roots.
The only thing that stopped me from trading in my SuperGlide for a Switchback a few years ago was that the Switchback black and chrome engine has no chrome. The primary, rocker boxes, cam cover and tranny covers are a type of polished aluminum. The bike has this great big chrome headlight and zero chrome engine parts.
